Insightful Journaling

Where Your Words Become a Way Home

I’ve been journaling for years, but this is the first time it’s felt like it was for me. The springboards made it personal, and the community made it powerful.

About Me

Meet Evonne Jenkins-Hough

Founder of Insightful Journaling. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LISW-CP). Certified Journal to the Self® Facilitator. Level II IFS Therapist.

I’ve always loved the way words could hold our truth. But for a long time, I journaled the way most people do – pouring my thoughts onto the page, hoping it would make things feel lighter. Sometimes it helped. Other times, I’d close the notebook feeling like I was still circling the same questions.

Know More

Your Story Matters Here

Not all journaling is the same.

Many people use “stream of consciousness” writing – simply pouring out thoughts. While helpful, it can leave deeper truths untouched.

That’s why we use springboards, not prompts.

Prompts tell you what to write. Springboards invite you to discover what’s already within you.

Here, structure meets freedom – giving you space to explore your thoughts while gently guiding you toward insight, healing, and action.

Whether you’re here for personal growth, to deepen your skills as a therapist, or to join a safe, affirming space for Black women, you’ll find a place here.

Get Started

From My Journal to Yours

I believe journaling is more than a habit – it’s a relationship with yourself. It’s where you meet your thoughts honestly, listen to your own voice, and write your way into the life you want to live.

If you’re ready to discover what’s possible when you put pen to paper with intention, I’d be honored to walk that path with you. Let’s make space for every part of you on the page.
